2020 repress - producer & dj mall grab has announced his new ep how the dogs chill, vol. 1 , on his brand new imprint looking for trouble. the new release arrives ahead of mall grab s upcoming looking for trouble tour, including a london headline show on 6th october at e1. the 25 year old s latest record follows one of last summer s biggest house releases - pool party music on dj haus s ever-excellent hot haus recs, as well as a collaborative ep earlier this year alongside loods on steel city dance discs, the label he runs with his friends jarred kennedy and jackson fitzsimmons. having emerged in 2015 with the infectious feel u ep, the strength and evolution of jordon s productions has firmly established him as one of dance music s most exciting talents.

jordon saxton aka lk has become a regular name on shall not fade, having remixed detroit legend rick wade last time out, his third output features four breathtaking tracks which showcase another dimension to his productions. the four track ep features ambient, jazz infused cuts, perfectly for the dancefloor.

only 1 per customer, heady, head in the burbs techno culminations from newcastle, australia and producer jordon alexander who dips back into an insanely prolific production spell earlier this year (and follows up an ep on collect call) with four new tracks. mall grab’s ethereality is shadowy, mixed with familiar night drive sensations and drugged out strictly rhythm vibes, mildly celestial “hella stoned” introspections that pay homage to old three 6 mafia mixtapes as much as more recent astral experiences in house and techno. starting off with the faded menace of vocal track “awake”, which builds in steps into heavy, lo-fi 4/4 120 techno, the ep moves into hazy, sweaty and pumping zones on “elegy” and then to the b-side with the sunnier/just-woke-up feelings of “never”, before blurring into the melodic drift of slow burner “drive”, nostalgia-coated, hybridized and heavy all the way.credits
